Eresbil objectives

ERESBIL’s main goal is the collection, preservation, protection and dissemination of the basque musical Heritage and, especially, the production of Basque Composers.

Organisation

ERESBIL is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising the following institutions:

• Basque Government
• Council of the Province of Gipuzkoa
• Town Council of Errenteria
• Choir Andra Mari of Errenteria

The institutionalisation of the archives begins in 1977 with the creation of the Archive Provincial Board of Trustees, whose members were representatives of the local authorities and the Province of Gipuzkoa, in addition to those of the Choir Andra Mari, the founding association, and the Fraternity of the Capucins Brothers.

In 1986, the Basque Government adopted a decree law which applied to the creation of the present Board of Trustees of ERESBIL.
